Southern Pines Golf Club

Description

(1988) – The Southern Pines Country Club was established in 1906 with the beginning construction of nine holes designed by the worldly-renowned golf course architect, Donald Ross. The additional nine holes were added in 1912 to complete this links-style layout. This layout has been largely untouched to this day. The golf course winds its way through pristine longleaf pines and brilliant, colorful azaleas. Wonderful conditions complement the signature traits of Ross’ undulating greens and creative bunkering. Southern Pines Golf Club is another Donald Ross classic that continues to thrill its many players after nearly 100 years.

Sandhills Secret

The Southern Pines CC is an old Donald Ross design, a short course, but still a good challenge.  A benefit of Southern Pines is that you get to play a great course, great layout, without paying the premium price of other Ross designs.

Some of you may know  Southern Pines CC as the Southern Pines Elks Club, new management took over a few years ago and re-named the course.
