Longleaf Golf & CC

Description

Before Dan Maples transformed it into one of the area’s most popular and playable courses, the site had been a training facility for some of America’s top thoroughbreds. As a tribute, Dan incorporated into this quality design, elements from the original estate, including part of the old training track. The course features both a subtly rolling Scottish style front nine and dramatic elevation changes on the wooded back nine. Golf Digest deemed Longleaf as “the most playable course in the Pinehurst area”.

A Dan Maples Original

The front nine is straight forward and allows for an errant shot, or two.  The back nine tightens up a little and has some elevation change, a difficult double dog leg par 4, and three par 3’s.  Longleaf is a must-play for beginner golfers and those that may be a little rusty.
